Tibia Monk Equipment Guide
Best-in-slot gear for Monk plus 7 elemental protection variations. Each set includes a stat table that sums every piece's contributions.
Monk is Tibia's newest vocation, introduced in the 2025 update, and plays very differently from the four classic vocations. Monks fight with Fists, Katars and Kusarigamas — all two-handed weapons that scale with the Fist Fighting skill rather than Sword, Axe or Club. Because every monk weapon occupies both hands, the shield slot is always empty: in-game it displays the weapon sprite mirrored and desaturated as a reminder that both hands are committed, and this guide shows the same visual cue above.
The balanced BIS leans on the Soul and Sanguine item lines because they stack flat defensive stats with monk-specific augments. Soulgarb and Soulshanks together give enough armor and physical mitigation to let a monk tank the melee hits a knight would otherwise take, while Sanguine Legs provide the Avatar cooldown reduction and critical-damage augment that scales with every strike spell. Pair of Soulwalkers are the current BIS boots thanks to their +15 speed and Fist Fighting bump — walking speed is harder to come by on Monk than on the ranged vocations, so this slot usually isn't negotiable.
Elemental swaps follow the same logic as Knight: physical first, then whichever element the hunt actually threatens. Earth and Death sets built on the Norcferatu line are the strongest options for high-level content because they cover the two elements most late-game creatures lean on. Fire and Ice are situational — only swap in when the specific boss or spawn requires it, since the physical BIS set is strictly better for everyday hunts. Elemental variations here reach around 25–30% resist on the targeted element, which is enough to flip a one-shot into a survivable hit.
